Sickness..

Sorry I haven't written lately but we have all been sick. Evelyn started with a cold and then Camille got sick and now I am also sick. So far Richard isn't and hopefully won't get it. Pray for him, he has a long drive on Saturday.

Camille is doing better but still has a bad cough. It is sad to see her coughing so much when I know how I feel when I cough that much. She is in our room so we can keep on eye on her. Saturday night she woke up gasping for air so we want her nearby just in case.
I will post more when I am feeling more up to it. I will post a couple of pictures for you to enjoy.

Camille in an outfit bought by her great-grandparents. She almost grew out of it before I got it on.

Happy sick Camille!

Camille's 4 month appointment

Camille had her for month well-baby check this morning. We all had guesses how big she was and I thought somewhere around 14 lbs. Boy was I wrong. She weighs 16 lbs 2 oz and is 25.75 inches long. We got a big and tall girl on our hands. She is doing well and meeting all of the milestones for her age. Dr. Brandle was very pleased to see how she was growing.

We didn't have shots because his shot refridgerator froze all the vaccines and he had to order new ones. So we will go back later this week.

Well off to play with Evelyn while Camille naps.

Easter

We had a good Easter in Sacramento. We had breakfast with just the 4 of us before opening Easter baskets. Evelyn enjoyed the toys she got in hers. She got a dress, puzzle and a couple of other small toys. Camille got a dress, oneies and a book. Nothing too major as they are small and that is not the meaning of Easter.
Richard and I watched a sermon on T.V. which was interesting. We could only find one to watch so we did not have many choices but it was still a good sermon.

After we all took a nap, we headed over to Lavon's for an egg hunt and dinner. Evelyn had a good time. Lavon set her up in the living room so she could find things on her own. She enjoyed looking around and finding things to play with. She got some clothes, a ball and a fridge toy. She also found the tricycle we got for her over there. It was a lot of fun. Camille was a good girl too and enjoyed seeing other people.

Overall it was a good Easter. Hopefully next year we can celebrate with my family and my parents can enjoy watching Evelyn run around looking for things.
Here are some pictures.

Richard's Birthday Weekend!

This was a great weekend as we celebrated the birthday of a wonderful man, husband and father. Richard turned 35 on Saturday and we celebrated it by spending the day together with just the 4 of us. He was allowed to do whatever he wanted (within reason) and we would go and enjoy it with him.
We first went out to breakfast to a little restaurant by our house. After breakfast we came home and got ready to head out for the day. We went to the Discovery Museum in town. It was fun but a lot smaller than we thought. There was some neat things to look at. Evelyn enjoyed the food cafe where she could put food on a plate and bring it to us. She also enjoyed the animals. There was a rabbit that weighed about 20-26 lbs. It was huge. After we were done inside we went to lunch at Mr. Pickles. Richard had never been there and I had always wanted him to try so we were lucky when we say a brand new one that was close to the museum. We enjoyed a nice lunch while Camille took a nap and Evelyn rested a little bit. After lunch, we decided to go back to the museum and walk around on the grounds. They had about 14 acres that was part of the museum. So we got out the stroller and walked around, eventually Evelyn got out and explored all the things around her. It is amazing to watch her explore and study things. Once we were done exploring we came home to rest before going out to dinner. We picked Lavon up and had dinner at Carmelita's in Fair Oaks. It was a nice dinner and the girls both did pretty good.
It was a wonderful day!
Sunday, we had some friends over we had not seen in a while and got to catch up. It was really nice to see them and their little boy. We enjoyed a nice BBQ dinner and desserts before calling it a night. I hope Richard had a wonderful birthday because we all know that he deserves it all.

What's been going on?

I haven't written in a little over a week, but some things have happened. We celebrated Richard's birthday last Saturday (he will be 35 tomorrow) with his family and had a great time. We ordered lasagna from a little deli that he loves and had garlic bread and salad to go with it. It was really good. We have a delicious cake that Lavon brought and he opened his gifts from everyone. I think he enjoyed himself and had a nice time. I will post a couple of pictures.
In other news, Camille is not sleeping well again. Usually she is up about every hour and then finally around 3 or so she will sleep for a couple of hours. I am not sure if it is gas, 4 month wakeful period (yes, this is real, google it) or the fact that she rolls onto her belly but doesn't want to be there. Either way, I am tired and I hope she starts sleeping soon.

Evelyn is good but fussy lately, I think she is teething again. Fun times! She is talking more and more everyday. One of the cutest things she does when we are in the den is climb into the chair and say "Yaya, Papa" and looks at the camera. She knows that we talk to them and can see them on the computer so when she wants to talk to them she comes and gets in the chair. It is really cute but sad when you have to say they aren't home.
Tomorrow is Richard's real birthday and I said we can do anything he wants. I am not sure what we are doing yet but it is supposed to be nice so maybe something outdoors if it is not too windy. I am sure it will be a good day with the family. Sunday we are getting together with some friends we haven't seen in a while. Their little boy is 2 weeks younger than Camille so that will be fun. We are looking forward to seeing them and some other friends that are also coming over.

Other than that not much is going on. Enjoy the pictures and your weekend.
