It's HOT!

It was 108 today and that is just too hot for me. Since it was so hot we stayed indoors all day which made Evelyn stir crazy. It was overall an ok day but my dear sweet Camille does not like to take long naps or sleep for long stretches at night so I am always exhausted. My eyes are burning as I type this and will probably go to bed after posting.

I love the girls more and more each day and the thought of leaving them to work is hard. I have not found a job yet but I am still hopeful. I have a few applications out and I am hoping to hear from them soon. Keep fingers crossed and prayers coming. I need and want to go back on most days. Some days I don't want to leave the girls and other days I wish I was at work because I so badly need a break from them. We will see what happens.

I have not taken many pictures lately. I am sorry. Here is one from tonight when Evelyn was taking her bath. Her hair is getting crazier by the day. Enjoy!

Job Hunting!

I have decided (well we did) that I need to start looking at going back to work. There are a few reasons for doing so. I need to clear my credentials, need money (always), want to get back into it, and the economy the way it is it doesn't hurt to have a job.
I have put in a few applications but there is not much out there even for Special Ed. teachers so wish me luck on finding and getting a teaching job. I worry about Camille being so young with me going back to work but I know she will be ok.

Here are a couple of cute pics to make your day.

Sweet Camille.
A little overexposed but I LOVE her eyes.

Rocking Elephant!

My grandfather's brother in law made a rocking elephant for Evelyn before she was born. We put it away since she was too little to use it and we did not have the space. We decided that Evelyn is big enough to get on and off and use it safely so we pulled it out this weekend. She loves it! We took some pictures of her on it that turned out cute.

Enjoy!

Do you think she likes it?

Getting on for the first time.

Camille, watch out or she will get you.

Father's Day Pictures!

Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day as I hope everyone else did. We started the morning with me making breakfast for Richard. I made pancakes with fresh fruit. It was very yummy. Then we got ready to go to the Sacramento Zoo and Fairy Tale Town (small amusement park with slides for kids). We got to the zoo shortly after it opened since the girls don't know how to sleep in. It was great though because noone was there so we just walked around and saw all kids of animals. The Gibbons were talking so loud it made your head echo instead. It was great. Evelyn loved the Giraffe's and the Flamingo's (mingo's). After the zoo we got lunch inside Fairy Tale Town and then Evelyn went on the slides for a little bit. We ended up leaving a little earlier than planned because Camille needed to eat and it was nap time.

On the drive home both girls fell asleep quickly so we drove around looking at houses (NO we are not looking to buy). After they woke up we toured a couple of models for fun.It was hard to enjoy because the whole time Evelyn was asking for milk.

Lavon came over for dinner and then we went up to Cold Stone for dessert. They were having dad's eat free if they bring in the family (we didn't know this until we got there so that was a bonus.) After our yummy ice cream we went to Barnes and Noble to get a couple of books before heading home.

It was a great day for a great Dad. I will post pictures once I can figure out Picasa again.

Camille Crawling!

Here is a short video of Camille crawling. She is getting better and better as the day goes on. This is the first time she did it. Enjoy!

Now I have to mobile babies in the house. I should work off some pounds this way.

Word Explosion!

Evelyn's vocabulary is growing more and more everyday and it is truly amazing how many words she knows. She is putting together 3-4 words phrases and speaks pretty clearly that you can often understand what she is saying.

Two of her newest phrases are "I love you" and "Good Morning."

She has been saying "I love you" for a while but it is still so sweet and when we were in Las Vegas she went right up to Camille and said "I love you" when she was going to bed.

The other I love is "Good Morning." She doesn't really say it to me or Richard but any time Camille wakes up from a nap or in the morning she says, "Good Morning Mille, Good Morning." She is so sweet about it and gets her head in front of Camille so that she can see her.

Another phrase she has is "I know." Luckily she uses it in a good way. Hopefully that continues. You say, "I love you" and she says, "I know." So stinking cute our little girl.

---------------------------------------------------------

In Camille news, she is now in the big bathtub and she was getting too big for the sink. So she is now in the "Duckie." However, our old duck couldn't hold the air so we got a new pink duck that will soon be inflated and used. Camille is growing up so fast.

She is not sleeping too much better but I know that in time it will change. I am just hoping that change is soon.

She is sitting, rocks on all fours and tries so hard to crawl. I am thinking it will happen soon. She moves her knees under her body but hasn't figured out the arms quite yet. Soon I will have two to keep up with.

Visting Family

This past weekend we were lucky enough to get to visit family. We flew down to Ontario on Thursday and boy was that a mess. We got to the airport to find out our flight was at least 5 hours delayed, so we booked ourselves for the later flight only to go back onto our orignal since they were able to get a new plane. We were supposed to get in at 3:15 and instead got in about 6. The girls did great and both slept on the flight down. We had dinner waiting for us at Scott and Nicole's. It was fantastic. Thank you.

Friday morning we drove to Las Vegas to see my grandparents. My dad drove the motorhome and the girls did pretty good. I was able to take a short nap which was nice. Friday night Richard and I went out to dinner with my grandparents while my parents watched the girls. It was a wonderful meal with even better company. Thank you so much.

Saturday we had a BBQ at my grandparents and my Aunt was able to meet the girls. It was good to see everyone together. That night my dad, grandma, Nicole and Richard went gambling but came back shortly after losing the money they had, but at least they had fun.

Sunday morning, we packed up and drove home. Camille fell asleep so I took to opportunity to take a nap on the bed in the back while she slept. I was able to take a good 1 1/2 hour nap, which was wonderful since she didn't sleep well at all during the trip.

Monday morning we packed up again and headed to the airport. Our flight was on-time and not full so Evelyn was able to have her own seat. I forgot to mention, on the way down it was completely full and we could not sit together since there are only 4 oxygen masks per row and with the girls, us and 1 other person there were too many people. At the last minute Richard had to switch with someone else. Thankfully the guy was nice and didn't mind Camille's feet kicking him.

It was a good trip other than Camille being really fussy. I think she was overwhelmed. She is doing better since we got home and hopefully tonight will be better. Thank you everyone for your help, I hope I wasn't too bad. Mom thanks for the walk and talk. You all mean the world to us and we are glad we were able to come down.

Love you all!

I will post pictures in another post as there a way too many too choose from and would make this longer than it is already.

Camille's 6 Month Appointment

We had Camille's 6 month appointment on Tuesday. She had to get shots which were no fun but she did good. She was not a happy camper at the Dr. office becuase she was tired but I can't blame her for that.
She weighs in at 19lbs 15 oz and 27.5 inches long. She is in the 95th% for both. We have a big and tall girl on our hands but she is healthy. The dr. said there is no need to be concerned and she will probably thin out when she starts moving more. Other than that, she is doing great and meeting all of her milestones.

Here is a cute pic to enjoy!

Big Girl Bed!

Tonight is Evelyn's first night in a twin bed. We put a side bedrail on and stuffed animals all around so she won't (keeping fingers crossed) fall off. Not sure why we decided to make the switch, maybe because it will be easier for her to sleep anywhere when we travel and not just a pack n play. She was very excited to climb into the twin and lay down tonight. She was asleep in minutes, we can only hope every night will be so easy. Wish us luck!

Here are a couple of pics:

Evelyn Dancing

Short video of Evelyn dancing in Huntington Beach in May. Enjoy!

I will have to start taking short videos of the girls and posting them.

Pics...

Today was a hard day to say the least but I managed to get a couple of cute shots of the girls.
