NO! I am NOT pregnant! Camille officially wears a bigger sized diaper than Evelyn. Can you believe that? She is almost 6 months old and wearing a size 4 diaper. Granted Evelyn is small but I never thought she would be in this size so young. We were having problems with the 3's because she would go to the bathroom and it would come out the backside almost every time. It gets really old changing her clothes and having to wash them 2-3 times a day. I thought I would try the next size and sure enough they work better than the 3's. She sure is growing fast.
Anyways, I just had to mention that. Richard and Evelyn are napping (lucky ducks) and Camille is playing. She should be napping but I think she has other plans instead. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Happenings...
Naps are hit or miss with Camille but bedtime is getting better. I am trying to hold strong and put her in her crib for every nap. Today wasn't so good. She has only taken a couple of short naps. She went down about 5pm and is still asleep. I am hoping she doesn't think this is bedtime. Speaking of bedtime, she is doing better not waking as much which is nice. She is usually waking once or twice per night which I can handle. Hopefully this continues.
We have been walking more lately as the weather is nice. The girls love it and Camille usually sleeps so I can go for a while. I have been walking about 2 miles and enjoying it. I walk around the neighborhood and actually feel fairly safe. Evelyn enjoys it (all but the sun in her eyes), but wants to walk so when we get to our street I let her walk the rest of the way. She now knows which one our house is if she can see it so that is good.
We are gearing up for the summer. Parties galore and times to hang out with friends and family. Evelyn's birthday will be here before we know it. I am looking for a job but there is not much out there. I might stay home another year and look again next year when hopefully things are better.
I have been lasy in taking pictures. I will try to take some this next week. Maybe I will take it on our walks.

Naps
So far, Camille has taken 2 naps in her crib. The first one was this morning and she only cried for about 3 minutes. I did not have to go in to soothe her. She slept for about 40-45 minutes which is normal for her morning nap. Her afternoon nap was at 11:30 and she only fussed for a minute and was asleep. She didn't really even cry. She has been asleep for a little over an hour so hopefully it continues.
Evelyn was also put in her crib for her nap. She, however, cried for about 15 minutes before laying down. She took about a 45 minute nap.
Having the girls in their own beds frees me up for to do other things which is really nice. Hopefully this will continue and there will be little crying.

Napping in Crib...
Today is the day that we are going to start putting Camille in her crib to nap instead of on me. This will be good for both of us. I think she will start sleeping better and longer and I will be freed to do stuff with Evelyn and around the house. I am just hoping she doesn't cry too much.
Last night we had to let her cry, with going in to calm her, because she wanted to eat 2 hours after she went to bed. She cried for about 25 minutes and then fell back asleep. She woke again at 12:30 to eat and so I fed her. Each night she has to wait longer and longer to eat. Tonight it will be 2 1/2 hours and tomorrow 3. I know she can do and that she is waking out of a routine she's created so hopefully this helps.
If feels like not long ago I was blogging about Evelyn napping in her crib. It worked for her, here's hoping it works for Camille.

Updating
This are going well in our house. Evelyn is teething again so is fussy but nothing too bad. She had started singing which is the cutest thing in the world. Her favorite song is "roll over." I love hearing her try to sing songs that come on the radio. It is the sweetest sound.
Camille is doing good. Growing more and more everyday. We weighed her on our scale at home the other day and she was about 20 lbs. My goodness. She is cuter than ever. She sits with no problem and is really wanting to get up and go so she inches across the room. She has slept better the last few nights. I am hoping it continues. I have stopped drinking caffeine and she has done better so maybe that is why, or maybe she is just really tired, I am not sure.
This past weekend we were busy. We went to a Ren. Faire, 40th birthday and graduation party on Saturday. Sunday we went to Lavon's to look at her pictures from her trip to Italy and have dinner. On Monday we went to some friends house to have a BBQ for Memorial Day. Everything was a lot of fun and we are glad we got to see so many friends.
Here are some recent pictures of the girls:

Yesterday
Yesterday was a good day, the girls and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Camille slept and Evelyn just watched and observed. It was a nice walk. When we got home Evelyn wasn't done so she walked up and down the street while I followed with Camille.
We had lunch with Richard which is always a treat. We haven't been to his work since before Camille was born so this was nice.
After the girls afternoon nap we went outside and painted with water. Evelyn loved it and so did I since there was no mess. Just water, paint brushes and the ground is all you need for fun.
Here are some pictures:

Sweet, happy Camille.

Enjoyment
I am enjoying getting to know the girls more everyday. They change so much and I am in awe of what they can do. Camille is a beautiful little girl and changes in the blink of an eye. She is sitting by herself, rolling over both ways and she also inches along the ground. She has started eating some solid foods and is turning into a wonderful baby. Evelyn amazes me in all that she does. She is polite and kind (when she is not pushing over her sister). She talks all the time and has a full converstation with you, whether you know it or not. She speaks so clearly that I am amazed. She is learning how to ride her tricycle. It is hard to do when I am home by myself but Richard has been going out with her after Camille goes down and it gives them time alone and me some time alone as well. She is a true joy to have in our lives. I love having two little girls. I hope someday they can be good friends.
Enjoy the pictures...

Sleep
Last night Camille slept for 5 straight hours. She slept from 10:30 until 3:30. I just wished I had got to sleep earlier; however, I could not miss Grey's Anatomy. Hopefully she is on a new trend of sleeping longer stretches of time. We have also started her on solids. I wanted to wait until she was 6 months old but she is so big that I think she needs more than I can give her. She has only tried rice cereal and sweet potatoes. She seems to like them both.
Evelyn is doing well. She is sleeping better but has been getting up between 5:30 and 6:30 so that is hard. She is exploding in he vocabulary everyday and repeats everything you say so you have to be careful. She is a true joy and is so polite ( a must in this household). She has been very cuddly lately and I LOVE it and will take every second of it. We are all doing well. Looking forward to the weekend and meeting up with friends we haven't seen in a while.

Sleeping Issues
We are having sleeping issues with both girls. Camille won't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time and usually that is only once during the night, the rest of the time she is up every hour. I am not sure what to do. I do not want her to cry but am afraid we might end up going there if it doesn't get better soon. I think he problem is she rolls over and sleeps on her belly but she moves so much she hits her head. She goes all the way across the crib. I swear she is going to be crawling next week with how much she moves on her belly.
Evelyn doesn't like going to bed anymore. She has been crying for a few minutes each night before going to sleep and is waking early in the morning and not going back in her crib but instead in our bed. It is fun to cuddle with her for a little bit. I think I may have figured out why she isn't sleeping, both of her bottom eye teeth are coming in. They finally popped through the surface so hopefully the rest will be less painful and she can start sleeping better again. She is back to LOVING her baths. We started giving her a cup and that makes it so much more fun apparently because she stays in there as long as we let her.
Well that is all for now. Hope all is well.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone had a good day and weekend.
Today was good. We had breakfast at home. Richard cooked for me while I played with the girls. I got cards from each of them and the new Beyonce CD as well as a nice candle a reed diffuser set. We stayed home most of the day relaxing and playing with the girls. We did go out to dinner at a little Thai food place close to home. It was good and the girls were good. We went had ice cream after.
Camille is in bed and hopefully will sleep better than last night. (I was up every 30 minutes until 3am). How can you not love her though with all those rolls, smiles and giggles.
Evelyn is doing well, except for sleeping. We have been having a rough time sleeping around here. She is a joy though and I am lucky to be her mommy.

Camille
Camille can officially sit unsupported. She started yesterday and is getting stronger by the day. Now if she could only roll over both ways. She is sleeping better now that she learned that it is not so bad sleeping on her stomach, I just wish it was for longer periods of time. Someday she will be sleeping all night and this will be a distant memory.

Sweetest Words...
The sweeetest words I've ever heard are "love you" from Evelyn without prompting. She has been saying it for a while but the last couple of days says it back to you. It is the sweetest thing in the world.
We're Home!
We got back last night from our vacation to Capistrano Beach. We had the best time. We visited the San Juan Capistrano Mission and the San Diego Zoo. The zoo was so much fun with Evelyn who knows so many of the animals and the sounds that they make it was truly a wonderful experience.
I will write more when I have time. I am doing laundry and putting away things today. I will also post pictures. We have about 800 to choose from so I sure there are a few good shots in there.
Hope all is well.
Hope all is well.
