Naps with Evelyn have been pretty laid back for a while. She was taking them with Camille on the couch with me. It worked out great. She would sleep, Camille would sleep and I could rest. That is a thing of the past. She has been fighting taking naps this week so I have started put her in her crib again. One day she cried for 28 minutes and today she has been crying for about 10-15 minutes and is still not asleep. I don't like her crying but she needs a nap and if she won't take one with me than she has to go in her crib.
Maybe we need to go back to a structured nap time. Oh what fun.
Ok, now she is asleep, hopefully it lasts for at least an hour. Now if Camille would nap also.
In other news, I am down 10 lbs. Yay! We are celebrating Richard's birthday this weekend due to everyone's schedule. This works for me becuase I get him on his actual birthday to myself (with the girls of course). It is fast approaching and before you know it we will all be another year older. Ugh!

Room to ourselves!
Camille has been sleeping in her crib for almost a month now and is doing really well. We lay her in her crib when we go to bed and she usually gets up from 0-3 times a night. It has been nice and I have actually gotten some much needed sleep. We had the pack n play set up in our room since she was born but have decided that we no longer need it up since she is doing well in her crib. So this past weekend, Richard broke down the pack n play and rearranged furniture so that it was back in its normal spot. I cannot tell you how different the room feels just having the pack n play out of there. It feels so welcoming and less cluttered. It is awesome.
I loved having Camille in there for a little bit but it got to a point noone was sleeping. I think she actually prefers her crib to our room. She is sleeping better and longer stretches. Hopefully they get longer and longer where I don't have to go in at all.

Camille was fussing as we were starting to get dinner ready. She stopped and I looked back to see this! It is the first time she has been in the Bjorn and she liked it. She sucked on it just like Evelyn did. I think this might be a useful tool from now on.

Found Daycare... Need Job!
Well we found daycare for the girls to start this fall. On Friday, we went and checked out a Kindercare near Richard's work and LOVED it. It felt comfortable, inviting, and warm. We loved everything about it and even Evelyn warmed up more quickly while we were there. We both walked out knowing that this was the place we wanted the girls to be. Everyone we saw was nice, clean and welcoming and all the children were happy. We even saw a little boy cryin becaue he didn't want to go home. It feels good knowing that we have somewhere to take the girls when I go back to work that feels right.
Now I just have to find a job. Hopefully that won't be too hard.
In other news, the girls are great. Camille is sooo happy now that she is no longer gassy. She is sleeping pretty well and only wakes 1-3 times a night (huge improvement from 8-10 times). She is rolling over, gigglig and cooing up a storm. She is a good traveler and is pretty mellow.
Evelyn is good. She is talking more, hard to believe I know. She is saying more 2 syllable words and starting to say 2 words. She says, "thank you" and "bless you."It is cute.
I am adding some pictures from the last few days, so please enjoy.

Rough Day, Good Night
Today was rough. Richard worked late and the girls were fussy all day. Camille didn't take good naps so that was making her fussy which isn't her normal self. Luckily, she took a nap while I cooked and ate dinner.
Evelyn was also fussy today and didn't really eat anything. I think she is teething again. The neverending teething continues. She had to take a shower tonight as she did not get one last night, so into the shower we went. She did great. She washed herself and was so proud. She even let me put shampoo in her hair. It is definetly getting better.
While I was in the shower with Evelyn, Richard was watching Camille. I came out of the shower and Camille was quite because she had fallen asleep. At first I was mad at Richard for putting her to sleep (Holding her and bouncing her) but then he told me she just fell asleep on the bed. Such a different child than Evelyn. She is still currently there and hopefully it will not make the night too bad. I of course had to take pictures. So here are a few.

Sleeping Beauty!
This is how she feel asleep on the bed tonight.
Looking cute in her frog outfit. (Marissa got this for Evelyn)
Evelyn being a mommy. She has my purse and is pushing her doll in the stroller.
Small Accomplishment
I made it below the dreaded 200lb mark yesterday and I am determined never to see it appear again on the scale. I am about 13 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and then I was to lose about another 30 on top of that. I think I can do and I know I will feel great when I do. I just need to stay away from the junk food.
Wish me luck!

Bunco
Last night was Bunco, my monthly night out and away from the girls. This is the frst month I have really gone. I hosted in January but there were only 4 people so that doesn't really count. I have never left Camille so I was a little nervous and sad, but knew she would be ok. I knew Richard could handle the girls and Camille is a pretty happy baby, especially since she is not so gassy anymore. My one major concern was Camille taking the bottle. I guess my worries were unfounded because Richard said that we she got hungry she took the bottle and sucked it down like it was going out of style. I am so thankful. It was always hard to go to bunco when I had Evelyn because she wouldn't take the bottle and I was worried that would happen again. But no, my sweet Camille will eat anything put into her mouth, this includes bottles and hands.
I enjoyed bunco and having some me time, although the whole time I am gone I am thinking about the girls. To make matters worse, Richard sent me a text saying Camille rolled from her back to her belly and showed me a picture. I had tears in my eyes because I missed it. How am I ever going to be able to go back to work?
This has been a busy week for Camille. She has rolled from belly to back, giggled and rolled back to belly (we will see if she does this again) all within this week. It is amazing how fast they learn new things.
Anyways, that was my Friday. This weekend will be low key and for that I am thankful. Things have been pretty crazy lately. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Pee Pee on the Potty!
Yes, you read that right. Evelyn has gone to the bathroom twice on the potty. It is a far cry from being potty trained, I know, but it is a step in the right direction. Hopefully we can stay with it and put her on the potty multiple times a day.
Evelyn is also taking showers, with me, but at least she is getting clean. I have even been able to use shampoo on her the last few times. I give her some to help wash her or mommy's knee and she asks for more 5 or 6 times. It is cute and I am glad she is getting better with it.
Evelyn loves to walk around in my shoes. She often comes down the hall in my heels with a big grin on her face. She does really well walking in them and if you pick her up she flexes her feet so they don't fall off, smart girl that Evelyn. She is talking more and more and I think she is in a growth spurt as she has been sleeping 12-14 hours at night and still napping during the day.
Camille is doing good. She has a small cold right now but hopefully will get better soon. She is giggling and smiling all the time and it is the greatest thing in the world. Camille is talking more and more, well cooing and it is so sweet to hear. She usually wakes up happy in the morning and tells us her stories from the night. It is really cute and she is so happy that it makes getting up at 6:30 bearable.
Tonight is bunco and I get to go. I am looking forward to some adult interaction without the girls. This will be Richard's first time with both girls alone so hopefully it all goes well. I wish him luck.

Giggles!
Camille giggled last night for the first time. She has had coos of enjoyement as well as shrieks but last night was her first belly laugh. It was amazing. It makes anything bad that occurred during the day better. I should get it on video and post it for everyone. Maybe someday soon.
Not much else is happening. We are hanging out with friends this week that we haven't seen in a while and it has been a lot of fun. This weekend we get to see a close friend of mine who I have not seen in way too long due to different schedules. I am so excited to see her and her daughter this weekend. She will finally get to meet Camille and I am really looking forward to catching up with her.
Hope all is well in your nieghborhood.

Camille Rolled Over
I orginially put this in the post below but felt she deserved to have her own post for this big accomplishment.
Saturday night Camille rolled over from her belly to back for the first time. She did it a few more times that night and again in the past few days. It is cute to watch her flip her head back and body follow suit.
Congrats!

Weekend Accomplishes and Trials...
We had an overall good weekend.
Friday night Camille decided that she didn't want to sleep again so I got about 3 hours of sleep. She was awake but happy and not really crying so that was nice.
Saturday morning, we went to the bagel shop for breakfast. Tim said to say hi to my parents. "Hi." The rest of Saturday was spent doing errands and household chores. I took care of the girls while Richard did most of the stuff around the house. I managed to dust. Whoohoo!
Sunday, we went to Tahoe. We left really early around 7am (6am according to our normal time). We were hoping the girls would sleep on the way up which Camille did. Evely was fussy and saying "all done". I told her we would be there soon but she kept saying it so I looked back to talk to her (she is forward facing as of last weekend) and she startd vomiting everywhere. We pulled over to get her out and clean her and the carseat up. It was in the low 30s with a wind chill, poor Evelyn was shaking so bad. We finally got her cleaned up and put her in the front seat to warm up while we finished cleaning. We decided that we were closer to Tahoe than home so we pushed forward slower. I sat in the back with her and she was fine the rest of the way there and was ok coming home as well. She slept on the way home thankfully. Hopefully this is a one time deal and she doesn't have really bad carsickness.
That is about all that happened this weekend. It was overall a good weekend. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Staying Home
We are staying home this weekend and getting things done. The last couple of weekends we have been out of town visiting family and friends and had a wonderful time doing so, but now we need to attend to household chores. The lawn hasn't mowed itself unfortunately and the house hasn't cleaned itself either. Richard will be working outside while I will be working inside. Hopefully there will be some fun time with the girls this weekend. I am hoping we can accomplish the cleaning in one day and have the other to do something as a family. It is supposed to be nice this weekend so hopefully we can enjoy the weather. We will probably stay close to home as the girls have been traveling a lot lately and Evelyn isn't as fond of her carseat right now. Maybe we will go to the park and play if it is not too cold.
Camille is sleeping better and is in her crib all night long. She slept 7:30-4:15 last night which I will take. I am so much more rested since I am not getting up 5-10 times a night. Camille is a happy baby and is starting to coo up a storm. She is outgrowing her 3 month clothes so it is time to bring out the 6 month clothing. Man, she is growing up fast. She is beautiful and a joy to be around. She is must more interactive these days and is even starting to giggle when you kiss her belly.
Evelyn is doing great. She too is talking up a storm. She can identify people in pictures and call them the right name. She knows Papa, Yaya, Uncle Scott (Cott), Aunt Nicole (Cole), Uncle Tyler (Ty),Sara, Claire, and Grandma Lavon. She knows some of the great grandparents by face but not name yet. We are working on them. Evelyn is doing better with her baths and even took a shower last night. She did pretty good so we may keep trying that for a while and see how it goes. Everyone seems to think she is ready to potty train so maybe we can attempt trying this weekend.
Richard is doing well and working hard. What's new? He is a great help around the house. He helps anywhere I need it including the cooking and cleaning. I hope he knows how much I appreciate it nad couldn't do it without him. He is truly an amazing man and dad. He loves the girls so much and says so everyday.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good things are happening...
As many of you know baths have not been good lately with Evelyn. They are pretty much an all out war. We tried everything we could think of to make it happy again but nothing was really working. Last night we tried to give her a bath in Camille's baby bath (a step back maybe) and she spent almost an hour in there. She loved it. She let us wash her and even get her hair wet. It was a step in the right direction and hopefully it keeps going on.
Camille turned 3 months yesterday and man has it flown by. She has not been sleeping well that past 3-4 weeks until last night. Something changed over the weekend and she started doing better but last night was amazing. I don't expect this to be the norm by any means. Last night she fell asleep at 7:30 and woke up this morning at 6:30 happy as can be. She also has been putting herself to sleep by sucking on her thumb. We don't give her a pacifier so she made her own and she is VERY good at finding it. She has put herself to sleep for naps twice over the last day. This morning she was playing on the ground before Richard went to work and when he left she was asleep on the floor and still is.
I know not to expect this all the time but I can be hopeful that she will be a good sleeper and not cry like Evelyn did. I get now what my mom meant about us being able to fall asleep anywhere. That's what Camille has been doing lately. Let's hope it sticks.

This is how I found Camille yesterday afternoon.

She sure loves her thumb.

Wonderful Weekend
This weekend we were in Riverside celebrating my parents 35th wedding anniversary. Congratulations! It is not an easy task these days and I still that the love each other very much.
We drove down on Friday morning. We left about 4:45 and got to Riverside at about 1:30. We made great time. The girls we fantastic and we only stopped twice. It was a lot easier than we had planned.
Saturday, we got together with all the family. There were parents, grandparents and great-grandparents in attendance. It was great to see everyone and catch up. Everyone got to meet Camille. She was a happy baby which made it all the more enjoyable.
Sunday, we celebrated my parents anniversary by going out to dinner as a family. We had a good time. We all pitched in and got them a Blu-ray player so now they can enjoy better picture during their movies.
We drove home early this morning and again the girls were fantastic. We stopped 3 times and got home around 3. It was wonderful trip and I am so glad that we were able to go down.
Here are some pictures from the weekend. I will post more later.
